I absolutely LOVE Royall Lyme so I thought I'd try this but I found the scent to be overpowering and just unpleasant. Scents are a personal thing so it's hard to know how to rate it. I'm sure the product is high quality but the scent just reminds me of Lysol orange disinfecting wipes or something.

This stuff is great. I love the way it smells. It's not assaulting on the senses. I thought that I might smell like an orchard on a hot day, but surprising enough, the fragrance balances out very well. My wife loves when I wear this stuff!

Bought this for my husband as a gift. It smells very clean and is not overpowering. He has Royall Bahrum and Royall Lime as well, and this is a nice addition to his collection.

I really like this scent. It reminds me of Hermes' Eau d' Orange Vert. It starts with a big blast of juicy orange smell that fades into orange and spice. It's a heavier scent than Royall Lyme, my everyday aftershave, but it's not as heavy as Royall Rugby, which I will only wear in the winter. I also like and appreciate that Royall Mandarin doesn't make an entrance before I do, something I think many aftershave wearers could stand to learn.

A little strong going on, but settles in nicely, and (for me) lasts all day. In the two days I have worn it, I have had four people compliment me on the smell, and directed them to "The" Mandarin.

I have been using Royall aftershave for years. The Mandarin is one of my favorites along with Spyce and Lime. The Bay Rhum seems tame by comparison
